I spent $10 at Englishtown Antiques today.
I’ve already posted my most recent trip to Englishtown Antiques, but these photos are from the first time I encountered this new world of old garbage and dusty, cheap furniture.
I have passed this place on my way to the Freehold Raceway Mall for YEARS and only last month did I finally enter it’s doorway.
There is a ridiculous amount of junk, but it’s actually pretty amazing to behold.
Like entire shelving units of screws and nails in jars:

The sheer enormous amount of stained glass light fixtures they have:

A hidden away retro Pepsi machine in the back:

An alcove filled to the brim with pillows:

An ENTIRE AISLE of silverware floor to ceiling:

The tiniest whisk I have ever seen:

Creepy homemade dolls:

A slot machine called the Taco Slot (tee hee):

And a retro Coke machine shoved between old dressers and chairs:

This place was so cool that we just had to go back again.
This past week, Laura and I took another trip to Englishtown to hit up the antiques shop.
Well, it’s less of a shop and more of a warehouse. And most of the things aren’t antiques as much as they are things that nobody wanted. It’s kind of an indoor garbage dump.
A somewhat [poorly] organized garbage dump.
But it’s still pretty fun.
I mean, this time we actually discovered TWO WHOLE TUBS of old glasses:

And it’s just a little creepy to walk around a corner to this:

But entering rooms like that is what leads you to finding gems like this hat:

(NOTE: Laura bought those pedophile glasses and wears them pretty frequently now.)
So I will definitely be returning to this place again and again. Despite smelling like musty grossness and feeling spiders all over me for hours after leaving. So worth it.
